Encore RV Brings Three Wood-Free Adventure Trailers to Overland Expo East

Encore RV is hauling the ROG 12BH-FB, ROG 14RKB and a renovated VENU 17TB to Virginia this October. Two of them come with a serious off-grid power setup.

Some trailers show up to a gathering of rigs with a nice paint job and a brochure. Encore RV is showing up with a battery bank, a roof full of solar and a build sheet that leaves out one common ingredient: wood.

The company will display three adventure trailers at Overland Expo East, Oct. 23-25, 2026, at Oak Ridge Estate in Arrington, Virginia. It's teaming up with Bumgarner Camping Center of Lenoir, North Carolina. Per the release, factory reps will be on hand to answer questions and demonstrate features.

The lineup: three trailers, one alphabet soup

The trio is the ROG 12BH-FB Survival Series, the ROG 14RKB Survival Series and the newly renovated VENU 17TB. Encore calls them three of its best-selling adventure trailers. Yes, the names read like Wi-Fi passwords. The hardware is the interesting part.

The off-grid power packages

The ROG 12BH-FB and VENU 17TB will carry Encore's Power-Up and Power+Plus Packages, which the company aims at extended off-grid use. Here's what the release says is in them:

  • 400 amp hours of lithium battery capacity (that's the size of your energy tank)
  • 400 watts of roof-mounted solar on a slide-out system
  • A 70-amp converter
  • A 3,000-watt true sine wave inverter/charger, which turns battery power into household-style AC power
  • An MPPT solar charge controller, the gear that manages solar power on its way into the batteries
  • Dual DC-to-DC chargers that can deliver up to 62 amps from the tow vehicle

That last item matters if you spend your days driving between camps. Your tow rig can top off the batteries while you roll down the road.

The ROG 12BH-FB: tall bath, garage-friendly

The ROG 12BH-FB has an exterior pop-up wet bath that Encore says offers more than 7 feet of headroom. The trailer itself is listed as low enough for a standard residential garage. It sleeps two to five, and a rooftop tent is optional. A bathroom you can stand tall in and a trailer that still fits at home is a combination plenty of campers will want to look at in person.

Built without wood

All three models share the same construction recipe, according to the release:

  • Wood-free construction
  • An all-aluminum chassis and frame
  • Composite flooring
  • Aluminum cabinetry
  • A one-piece roof

Founder Rich Schnippel said the show suits buyers who care about how a trailer is built. That's a fair read on the crowd. People who wander an overland expo tend to knock on panels and peek underneath things.

Dealers aren't left out. Encore invites RV dealers at the event to meet with factory staff at its display.

What it means if you're going

If Virginia is on your fall calendar, this is a chance to compare three trailers with the same aluminum-and-composite build philosophy and ask the factory people directly about it. Bring questions about the power system if you plan to camp far from a plug, and bring a tape measure if garage space is a concern. Encore's own release says the ROG 12BH-FB was designed with that in mind.

Pricing wasn't part of the announcement, so that's a conversation for the booth. Wear comfortable shoes and keep your coffee handy.
